‘A No 1, Multi-Platinum Selling Music Group’
Having established themselves as one of the most successful and sought-after vocal harmony groups in British history, The Overtones have enjoyed 15 years of success with multi-platinum record sales, 6 Top 10 albums, 13 major sellout UK tours and broadcast appearances on many popular TV & Radio shows across the UK and Europe.
The No1 selling four-piece, consisting of Jay James, Mike Crawshaw, Mark Franks, and Darren Everest are best known for their exquisite vocals, incredible harmonies, perfectly-timed dance moves, and their charming and distinctive style. With a perfect mix of originality and classic nostalgia, their ‘Good Time’, show-stopping performances have made The Overtones one of the UK’s most popular & prolific live acts (Hello Magazine).
Also known as “The Awesome Foursome”, in 2021 the group scored their very first ‘Official Charts’ UK Number 1 Independent Album with their highly anticipated 7th studio album ’10’.
The hit album went on to generate impressive music placements with ‘Celebration’ featuring as the official soundtrack to The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee parade with television coverage catching members of the Royal family – including King Charles, the Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Anne – singing and dancing along! Other placements include featuring in Sky Cinema’s blockbuster film ‘Monster Family 2’ and a global collaboration with Qatar Airlines for the 2022 World Cup promo that saw football stars Neymar and Sergio Ramos singing along to the track.
FIFA recognised the group’s natural ability to entertain and invited the boys to perform half-time shows at four knockout matches for the Football World Cup in 2022, including England versus Senegal, which of course the members were thrilled about. Over the four matches, The Overtones performed to over 300,000 people.
The Overtones have headlined many of the most prestigious venues in the world, including The London Palladium, The Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert, and Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate (where they performed to over one million people). Now The Overtones continue their anniversary celebrations by touring with musical legends Michael Ball and Alfie Boe and, after early success, are travelling to new territories including Indonesia and Mexico, where their take on ‘Say A Little Prayer’ charted in the iTunes Top 10 and brought them recognition in the USA and further acclaim globally.
Celebrating 15 Years in 2026 marks a landmark year for The Overtones as they celebrate their 15th Anniversary with two major UK theatre tours.
During the summer, the group headline Jukebox Idols, a spectacular 29-date celebration of music and dance featuring five-time World Latin & Ballroom Champion and Strictly Come Dancing star Nadiya Bychkova, alongside four-time Olympic medallist and former Strictly Come Dancing champion Louis Smith MBE. Together, they bring audiences an unforgettable journey through the greatest hits of the ’50s, ’60s and beyond.
This November and December sees the return of their much-loved festive spectacular, Jivin’ Home For Christmas, visiting 22 theatres across the UK. Widely regarded by fans as “The Official Start to Christmas,” the tour has become a cherished annual tradition, combining festive classics, timeless favourites, laughter and world-class entertainment into one unforgettable evening.
Looking ahead, The Overtones continue to write the next chapter of their remarkable story with exciting new original music created alongside Grammy and Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter and producer Eliot Kennedy, ensuring the next era promises to be every bit as exciting as the first.
